I’m really excited today because I’m about to share with you one of the coolest ideas I’ve ever come up with…
As I mentioned recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time reading books this year….
…and, many of these books have been related to the power of the mind and the concept of visualizations.
What is the concept of visualizations?
The idea is that if you frequently envision the things you want in life, you will successfully attract them.
You must see yourself within your own mind as having achieved your desires and over time this will trick your (subconscious) mind into believing it’s true.
As Napoleon Hill once said, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
Although I do practice visualizations on a daily basis, I had an idea to take this to another level.
What if I could trick my subconscious mind through imagery?
What if I looked at a physical picture of my vision on a continual basis…?
Would this work?
Could this work?
Ok, you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this, so I’ll cut to the chase…
About 3 months ago I decided that I wanted to get a custom landscape painting of one of my visions. I wanted this to serve multiple purposes.
- I wanted to see the painting while working at my computer to remind myself of why I’m working so hard.
- I wanted to push this image of success into my mind to make my subconscious believe that it is already a reality.
I looked around locally for an artist who I could hire. It didn’t take very long to find someone, and we started the project.
I told him exactly what my vision for my family was, and he took care of the rest.
I ended up with an awesome 40″x16″ one-of-a-kind canvas painting that is now hanging above my piano…
…which is also very close to my computer where I spend a decent amount of time.
Check it out below…
What exactly is my vision?
Well, the picture depicts my family living on an acreage with a pond and beautiful Iowa scenery. The detail on this painting is amazing, and I look at it multiple times every single day.
Every time I look at this painting, it pushes this goal and vision into my head.
Don’t get me wrong, the underlying theme is not supposed to be about material possessions (i.e. a large home or lots of land).
The underlying theme is my family, living happily and successfully together.
What do you think? Do you like the idea?
If so, look into doing something similar with your own vision.
If interested, you can find the artist who completed my painting at his Facebook Fan Page below…
Take care and don’t forget to visualize your dreams on a daily basis!
